Concerning #1, there's an old saying:
"A man with one watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure"

Concerning #12, I don't think anything will come after Blue Ray. Not necessary. That fact is, Blue Ray didn't make DVDs disappear the way VHS tapes did.
