oh the delicious irony of snowflake companies like disney

kinda ironic that disney featured this world wide photo shoot to "empower" princesses.

https://www.yahoo.com/style/disney-apos-empowering-photo-series-182048700.html.

They featured lil girls dressed as disney princess doing all sorts of things like getting muddy playing soccer or studying to be a CEO etc etc etc...and then labeled this empowering.

Don't get me wrong.. I have no problem with empowered girls.. I have no problem with the photo shoot..

BUT Disney is the one that pushes the whole princess bs stereotype on women for years and has made billions from it.. Show me another company that says women are princesses...

Now they want to be pc and tweek the definition of what a princess is?? still selling the same line of bs and continuing the money train..fuck beauty and the beast make a billion dollars itself..and that heavily pushes the whole princess bullshit.. ( and it stars an ardent feminist for christ's sake...)

She can still be a princess.. but now she is an empowered princess?? really disney...
still looks like the same ole same ole where it is about who you are/what you look like and what prince you'll some day pine over.

This would be like disney ( that owns espn) saying wow look at all those lil boys that want to be football players/continuing the stereotype that all boys are rough/aggressive hell even violent.???.

and then having them plant a garden wearing football gear or having them sit in a CEO's chair in football attire...and entitling the pics "empowering!"

that wouldn't be "empowering " to a boy...cause your still continuing the stereotype of the boy playing football...seeing him as other things like a farmer or a ceo does nothing to dispel the other stereotypical sexist bs...

and disney is to fucking blame.....and still making $$$ pushing these stereotypes...

it sorta reminds me of snowflake universities that rally for freedom of speech.. but only if it agrees with their own personal agenda.. other views still need to be banned

it's like disney saying sexism is okay because it is our peddled version of it .. the one that brings all the parents to our movies and fills out parks..cause it's "empowering"

My point to all of this is disney needs to stop acting all pc and just end the princess stereotype period...and get passed the fact that OMG this is 2017 and yes a girl can grow up to be anything she wants like ..holy fuck a CEO or a soccer star...
Seems like the only one holding girls back is disney

the irony of this is disney and their brand is the first time girls are introduced to the concept of being a victim....the person that got locked up in a castle and waiting for the fair prince to rescue her.
Until recently where now every girl is suddenly xena and any male character/love interest/good guy is reduced to comedy fodder/side kick or a sexist stereotype..

so yeah go disney.. you win my silver snowflake aware for being so empowering with your stereotypes

my point is simple.. disney made billions from pushing stereotypes and now switches up this princess bs a bit and labels it empowerment.. still same ole shit
