My observation as the main difference. Is that the pro domme has no real connection with the client, other than fulfilling his needs and in effect he is in control of what goes on when they are together, with her limitations paramount. she can use him, if she likes, But, she likely has more than one client.

For not pros, they often is a connection. There is a bond. The on pro probably has limitation too, but she has more control in my view. She is not likely to interact with too many submissives. A few maybe, but they are not going to amount to as many as a pro domme may interact with based on the monetary exchange and more than likely the pro domme doe not actually have intercourse with the client. a no pro, may use the submissive for her sexual pleasure at her whim.

With pro dommes, the client selects them and she has right of refusal. For non pros, the dommes are selecting the submissives.

My gut tells me its about control for the submissive. A pro domme has an off switch revolving around the exchange of funds. So as a customer you can exercise your need - exactly when and how you want it, then go back to your regular existence.

Lifestyle relationships tend to be somewhat more complex then that.
