Educated professional (software developer) living in Lawrence, KS. Tall and lean. I'm generally an honest, matter-of-fact person by temperament. There are those who say I have a warped sense of humor (I would instead call it thought-provoking). I'm morally scrupulous as well as being professionally very competent, and I'm accustomed to the (well-earned) trust of the people I know in both the private and public spheres of my life. In my relationships I'm what you might call a benevolent despot; I'm not abusive (i.e. if I have to give you a spanking, it's for your own good! :-)), but I can be controlling because hey, I know best.

My Ideal Person:
An intelligent person (as I consider myself to be), perhaps philosophically inclined, and self-sufficient. Someone who will submit to my control when we are together, but has no taste for ostentatious public displays. Someone who isn't easily shocked (and I don't necessarily mean sexually; the things I say sometimes outrage people). Age isn't too important, and neither is physical appearance (it does matter to some degree, but my ideas of what's attractive aren't the same as most people's, so it would be pointless of me to insist on anything along the lines of "attractive people only").
